Beyond the enjoyment of doing something with technology for its own sake, I take great pleasure in solving the puzzles we face as technologists; large and small. To that end, I’ve used my broad foundation of education, experience, and natural empathy, to help build digital and personal experiences that are measurably better, and measurably useful.
While working in the Houston Public Library system, I majored in Criminal Justice from University of Houston. I immediately went on to pursue my Master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University in Library Science.
I completed my Practicum with a focus in Digital Preservation and Archival Practices at the Houston Metropolitan Research Center, located in the beautiful and historic Julia Ideson building in Houston, Texas. Even before I finished my graduate degree, I was hired as an Outreach Librarian at the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research, where I expanded our class offerings- and fleshed out my own family history in the process!
I balanced my pursuit of librarianship with the creative work of Flying Radish LLC, of which I was a co-founder. This corporate branding and content creation consultancy proved very successful, and we were happy to count companies like NASA among our extremely satisfied clients. Flying Radish allowed me to hone my skills as a User Experience researcher and testing specialist.
In the summer of 2014, Flying Radish LLC was dissolved in favor of a grander pursuit; a move to Austin, Texas and the start of a full service digital product agency known as Tuple Labs LLC. With Tuple, I have operated as the Director of User Experience and Testing since it's inception, which has included numerous Enterprise level clients and Fortune 500 companies.
My data driven approach—no matter the medium—is to find the story behind the idea. Through iterative research and a devotion to the science behind decision making, I bring solutions to every obstacle.
